Cryotherapy works by causing the water in the skin cells to freeze. As this happens the water expands and then fractures the frozen cell walls causing cellular necrosis (or cell death). We can treat skin tags, cherry spots, milia, flat pigmentation – age or sun spots or damage, warts and verruca. Up to six lesions can be treated in any one session depending on the size of each leision. This can be discussed at the start of the treatment.
Only one wart or verruca can be treated in any one session depending on how long the wart of verruca has been there and how deep it is. Further treatments may be required to kill the virus.
